About the Performance

Hunt of Wolves follows one man’s passage through repression, self-discovery, and rebellion. Under constant surveillance, he becomes both subject and enforcer—administering, celebrating, questioning, following, and resisting the system that contains him. When his defiance is exposed and made public, the stakes rise: will he survive the fallout, be pulled back into conformity, or carve a path toward a wilder future?

Solus explores the aftermath of deconstructing a foundational belief system, and the loss and nihilism involved. The performance unfolds in evocative imagery: slowly peeling back layers of vulnerability as the exposing performance progresses. Through the piece, Hoback shares a haunting account of her struggles, trauma, and vulnerability by processing these emotional experiences physically. This reflective and autobiographical performance offers raw expression centerstage.
Solus (abridged) serves as the opener for Hunt of Wolves.
